Project Background

In 2005, Florida State University's President and his wife embarked on a campaign to design and construct a new President's House in the heart of the historic university campus. While the goal was to create a campus icon befitting of the institution's history, the need to accommodate public, institutional and residential uses within the framework of a private residence presented a unique challenge. More than just a place for the President to live, the FSU President's House needed be a gracious setting for the University to extend its hospitality and function equally well for groups of two or 200.
